Corporate Privacy Group is dedicated to creating and implementing affordable and sustainable privacy programs & solutions that drive business strategies and goals. We are propelled by a concept we call 3PT - People, Policies, Procedures, plus Technologies.


Our privacy model, 3PT, recognizes that privacy is primarily a people effort, requiring knowledgeable and trained staff. All people involved in information governance need structured guidelines with clearly stated goals and outcomes; that's the policy part. They have to act according to known, documented processes that are measurable, which is the procedures part. Finally, they must have the most robust and timely tools and technologies to accomplish their missions.


Through long experience and much frustration we have found privacy programs are often 'one-off' solutions, targeting a few problem areas and deploying tactical solutions. As a result, many companies actually have several privacy programs; one for HR, one for the Web, one for Direct Marketing, and another for IT. It is rare to find these programs integrated through a common, consistent management model; and they are almost never capable of surviving organizational changes.


We find this 'ad hoc' approach to privacy solutions to be expensive, limiting, and ultimately unsatisfactory for protecting business assets or customer information. And that's the point, isn't it? Why spend the money, management time, and overall trouble to implement a program that fails to significantly reduce risk or raise customer trust?
